It Follows

It Follows involves a sinister ghost that makes its debut after a teenager is involved in a brief and seemingly normal sexual encounter. A 19-year-old girl begins to see a guy named Hugh. After they hook up she discovers a spiritual entity has followed her home. She eventually finds out that the ghost gets passed on through sexual encounters and her only choice in getting rid of it is by passing the spirit on to someone else via intimate relations once again. If the person happens to die because of the ghost, however, the spirit will follow her once more, this time with the intention to kill her. With the very tense and gripping air it conjures, It Follows has garnered positive reviews from both critics and the general audience.

The House on Pine Street

A very pregnant woman suffers a mental breakdown and returns to the town where she grew up. As she finds ways to cope with her failing marriage, fear soon takes over her mind. Her controlling mother doesn’t help in getting her come to grips with her emotions. To make matters worse, she soon starts to experience paranormal activities in the house. The film adds new blood to fans of good old haunted houses and psychological horrors.

Crimson PeakCrimson Peak -

Fans of gothic horror or romance horrors are sure to love the chills of Crimson Peak. The film is set in the 19th century, in a frightening British manor that holds horrific memories. A young writer named Edith Cushing falls for a stranger and soon finds out he is not exactly who he claims to be. Directed by famed horror genius Guillermo del Toro, this movie is sure to deliver original frights.


Sure, this movie might be low-budget but Spring makes up for its cheap funding with amazing writing, directing and acting. An unsettled young Evan goes to Europe to recover after his mother’s death. He meets a beautiful woman named Louise in Italy. There’s more to his new ladylove than he realizes. Horror fans are sure to love the surprising ending.

Before I Wake

An 8-year-old orphan named Cody is adopted by new parents. What should be a feel-good film turns into horror after his new folks discover that the little boy has terrible nightmares. Cody is afraid of falling asleep and his adoptive parents suspect his evening terrors could be a result of previous trauma. In an attempt to help Cody, his folks dive into his past to discover what causes the boy’s fears.
